CALGARY, Alta. — Trimac Income Fund posted a $700,000 loss in the first quarter and a 16.5% decrease in revenue compared to the first quarter of 2008.

Trimac chalked the revenue decline to a reduction in fuel surcharges and a decrease in construction, drilling, mining and forestry activities.

The company’s western division saw revenue decline 16.8% and the eastern division experienced a 15.5% decline in revenue. In total, Trimac’s bulk trucking segment saw revenue drop 16.3%.
