COMPETITION WATCH: TST Overland wins award

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — TST Overland Express has been presented with a 2005 Ryder Carrier Quality Award for being a top-performer in the Canadian LTL National service category.

The Ryder awards aim to recognize top carriers providing the best in transportation services. It measures the transportation provider’s performance for the purpose of selection and growth with the carriers who can best deliver superior service and value to clients, the company said in a release.

Selections are made based on quantitative scorecards with points given for on-time service claims performance, customer service, technology, economic value and innovation.

TST has been a multiple year recipient of the award. TST Overland is a subsidiary of TransForce Income Fund and has provided LTL freight transportation for more than 78 years.
