CALEDONIA, Ont. — TST Truckload Express has joined the tuition reimbursement program with KRTS Transportation Specialists.

The Power to Drive program is a partnership between TST, KRTS and Arrow Truck Sales.

TST will reimburse $1,100 every three months to a graduate of KRTS until the full tuition of the program is paid in full, which is $4,400. In addition, TST will pay a KRTS graduate $500 per week during the first four weeks of ongoing training received at TST once the individual has graduated. Upon successful completion of the training period, the new driver will get an additional $1,000 bonus.

"We feel the program has been a success for the company. I think we opened eyes in the industry when we said we were going to take entry-level drivers and give them the opportunity to become owner/operators. We have done it successfully and it is now time to take the program to the next level. We are committed to entry level drivers and to the Power to Drive program," said Tom Philips, vice-president and general manager of TST Truckload Express.

For more details, contact Philips at (888) 878-9755 or Kim Richardson at KRTS at (800) 771-8171.
