COMPETITION WATCH: UPS Canada launches new Web-based tracking tool

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – UPS Canada has launched its latest Web-based tracking and notification tool – UPS Quantum View Data.

By offering customers increased visibility through UPS Quantum View Data UPS says shippers can more easily monitor package movements within their supply chains and use that information to improve service to their customers.

While a customer may be quick to call a supplier to find out the status of an order, the supplier may not have a quick or ready answer – the lack of visibility in the inventory process can disrupt an otherwise flawless customer experience.

Equipped with a portfolio of global visibility services, UPS Quantum View Data provides shipment manifest information, status updates and email notification alerts for inbound and outbound packages.

UPS Quantum View Data’s automated solutions make the supply chain visible; this information can then be used to better manage inventory and accelerate cash flow.

– UPS Quantum View Data – Inbound: provides access to the latest detailed shipment information for inbound packages, including scheduled day of delivery as well as any exception updates that could potentially change the delivery date.

– UPS Quantum View Data – Outbound: provides access to the latest delivery details for outbound packages, including the shipping date, exceptions and delivery details.

– UPS Quantum View Notify: provides automatic e-mail notification when a package is shipped, when it arrives, or if it’s delayed.
