TORONTO, Ont. Transportation Media has launched its annual Equipment Buying Trends Survey.

The survey is conducted on behalf of Truck News, Truck West and Motortruck in partnership with more than a dozen major industry suppliers

“The quality of your equipment is integral to business success. Yet Canadian motor carriers have unique truck equipment, parts and service needs not always considered by international equipment and service suppliers. Our annual research project is designed to develop a national statistical database detailing the needs and buying habits of Canadian motor carriers,” explains editorial director Lou Smyrlis. “Your opinion on equipment matters is of vital importance and I hope you can take a few minutes to fill out our survey.”

The data collected with the survey will help pinpoint emerging buying trends and identify benchmarking for a variety of equipment purchases. This year’s survey will also examine key issues such as the field performance of the post ’02 engines and the likelihood of another pre-buy.

All who complete the survey will receive an electronic copy of the survey highlights and be entered into a draw for a top-of-the line digital camera.

Individual answers and personal information, of course, are completely confidential.

The Equipment Buying Trends 2005 Survey link will take you to the survey site. Easy-to-follow instructions are included there.
