ACTON VALE, Que. — Sigma Industries has announced it will close a plant here which manufactured composite hoods for heavy-duty and vocational trucks, the Canadian Press reported.

The plant will be closed in September and about 40 workers will lose their jobs, according to the report.

The company said the trucking industry’s continued woes are to blame.

When the plant is shut down, the company will stop making composite hoods, according to the report. The sales of composite hoods generated about $6 million in revenue for Sigma.
