Con-Way earns ISO certification

ANN-ARBOUR, Mich. — Con-Way Transportation Services has achieved ISO 9001 and 14001 certification at all of its operating units in North America.

The company, which has a Canadian presence, made the announcement yesterday.

The certifications apply to the company’s less-than-truckload (LTL), emergency/expedite shipping, logistics and warehousing, air freight forwarding, truckload brokerage and intermodal service operations.

The ISO 9001 certification was awarded for operational compliance with processes and procedures expected of leading companies. The ISO 14001 certification was awarded for compliance with leading processes and procedures to protect the environment.

The certifications apply to over 400 facilities and more than 17,000 employees throughout the U.S. and Canada. The seven operating companies now certified include four less-than-truckload carriers and the operations of Con-Way Logistics, Con-Way Air and Con-Way NOW.
