Con-way Freight exec elected to US Chambers board of directors

WASHINGTON, D.C. and ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The US Chamber of Commerce board of directors elected David L. Miller, chief operating officer for Con-way Freight, to serve as a member of the board for a two-year term ending in 2009.

“David brings an excellent combination of both business and leadership experience to this position, said Chamber president and CEO, Tom Donohue. “He will be highly valuable as a leader for the Chamber.

As a member of the board of directors, Miller will address issues facing state and local chambers, associations, and other business groups to advance pro-growth policies and programs, as well as advise senior Chamber staff on a wide range of topics.

The US Chamber is the world’s largest business federation representing more than three million businesses and organizations of every size, sector and region.
