Construction on three Kingston area bridges

KINGSTON, Ont. — The Ministry of Transportation has awarded a construction contract for the rehabilitation of three bridges:

* Highway 401 John F. Scott Road bridge;
* Highway 401 Joyceville Road bridge;
* Highway 15 CNR bridge.

Work includes repairs, upgrades, and waterproofing. Highway 15 will be reduced to one lane during construction. Lane closures on Highway 401 are not anticipated in 2003 but periodic lane closures are planned for 2004.

Construction start date: September 15
Construction end date: Fall 2004
