Continental makes appointments in commercial tire division

FORT MILL, S.C. — Continental Tire has made two appointments within its commercial vehicle tire division.

Thomas Fanning, formerly director of original equipment sales, ahs been appointed director of replacement sales for the NAFTA region. He replaces Shaun Uys, who is returning to his native Africa to pursue other opportunities within Continental’s rubber group, the company announced.

Fanning will be in charge of strategic selling initiatives across dealer and fleet channels.

Fanning’s former role will be filled by Wes Garber, who will be charged with developing and executing business strategies with a focus on market share, profitability and achieving standard position with OEMs, the company announced.

Most recently, Garber was controller for the truck tire business unit.
