VICTORIA, B.C. — B.C. Transportation Minister, Judith Reid, is visiting Merritt today where it’s expected she’ll announce the Coquihalla Hwy. is going on the block.

Reports in the Vancouver Province indicate the B.C. government will be asking the private sector for bids on operating and managing the province’s only toll highway.

According to the reports, only the main highway linking Hope to Merritt will be affected. An international consortium is said to be interested in running the Coq.
