Country Star’s Big Rig Heads Off the Road, Flips

KAMLOOPS, BC —  While there are many country songs about trucks, and most likely even more about being on the road, the next time singer Jason Aldean needs a bit of inspiration, he will have plenty.

Following a concert at Sandman Centre in Kamloops on Monday night, one of the big rigs hauling his tour equipment flipped on the Trans Canada Highway just west of Kamloops around 1 a.m. on Tuesday.

The good news is the driver suffered no more than minor injuries, according to published reports, after the truck reportedly veered off the road. The bad news for fans is some of the concerts have been postponed.

The RCMP is investigating the cause of the accident, including whether the truck driver fell asleep behind the wheel.
