CALGARY, Alta. — Truckers were caught in the middle of a labour dispute yesterday, and police had to be called in to allow truckers to access CP Rail’s intermodal facility.

Picketing CP workers held up traffic and blockaded the facility yesterday, causing traffic safety concerns.

“We’ve been out of a paycheque for five weeks now and we want CP Rail to know we still exist and we’re going to be a thorn in their sides until they settle with us,” picketer Darren Hudspeth told local media.

CP employees have been on strike since mid-June.
