MONTREAL (Aug. 10, 1999) — CSX TransFlo, the intermodal bulk commodities division of CSX Corp., will extend its reach into Canada this week as it opens its bulk transfer terminal in Beauharnois, Que., 15 miles southwest of Montreal.

CSX TransFlo terminals are designed to allow shippers access to the opportunity to ship their products by rail even if they do not have direct access to a rail-served site by using rail for the long-haul portion of the move and trucks for shipment to the final destination.

The new location will provide trucks with easy access to highways 15 and 30 on the Trans Canada.

The facility will handle a full range of bulk goods including chemicals, minerals, and agricultural products.

CSX TransFlo operates more than 130 bulk transfer facilities in eastern North America.
