COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Environmental Protection Agency has granted Cummins Inc. unconditional certification for its heavy-duty ISM engine.

The 11-litre ISM engine with horsepower ranging from 280 to 385, complements the Cummins ISX product in meeting the needs of short-haul trucking.

The ISM engine is included in the Cummins uptime guarantee program, which says that if any part on a customer’s ISM or ISX engine fails and can’t be repaired within 24 hours, Cummins will cover the cost of a rental vehicle.
