Cummins Launches 350-HP ISL

Cummins has introduced a new 350-horsepower rating for its ISL engine, aimed at the 4×2 short-haul truck market. The new rating, with 1,050 pounds-feet of torque, was developed in conjunction with Allison Transmission in order to optimize the engine-drivetrain package while reducing up to 800 pounds in weight. The ISL is a fully electronic in-line six-cylinder diesel engine.
