CVOR seminar Jan. 12

TORONTO, Ont. — The Toronto Trucking Association is holding a breakfast panel discussion on understanding, managing and controlling your CVOR Jan. 12.

The event is to be held at the Weston Golf and Country Club, 55 St. Phillips Rd., in Toronto.

Gene Waithe, an auditor from the Ministry of Transportation for the last eight years will be speaking on what the ministry is looking for when they conduct an audit, what are the areas of concern they are seeing consistently and how to read and understand your CVOR.

Don Gillette and Mark Reynolds, former MTO enforcement officers now working for Xcopper, will speak on how to prepare for your audit, areas of concern, what’s going before the courts and recent court proceeding outcomes.

Also on the panel is Tim Courtney from Markel Insurance. Tim has served as the National Director of Underwriting of Markel Insurance Company of Canada since 2001. He will be speaking on how your CVOR affects your insurance and what you can do to show your insurance company you are trying to fix a problem.

There will be time for questions and answers during and after each panelist’s presentation.

Registration is at 7:45 a.m. the day of the event. A light breakfast will be provided prior to the panel discussion from 8:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Registration will cost $58.85 (including tax) for members and $101.65 (including tax) for non-members.
