JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network (CVSN) has unveiled a new award to recognize distributors and suppliers that have made significant contributions to industry associations.

CVSN president Ken Duval of Canadian Wheel Industries announced recently that two families would be recognized with the first President’s Recognition Award.

“We are here today because of those that came before us and there is a long list of people who deserve recognition for their contributions to our predecessor associations,” Duval said during the announcement. “O.G. Phillips and son-in-law Larry Smith from Gooch Brake and Equipment Company and Gene, Gary and Larry DiSano from Century Wheel and Rim dedicated a tremendous amount of their time and energy for the betterment of independent distributor associations. Their involvement clearly demonstrates the commitment to community and fellowship that are the values at the heart of a strong distributor association like CVSN.”

The first President’s Recognition Award will be presented at the CVSN 2008 Annual Business Forum being held at the Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield, Colo Sept. 21-24. The ceremony will take place on Sept. 21 during the welcome reception and dinner.
