MAUMEE, Ohio — Dana Holding Corp. has upped the quality of its products, and Hino Trucks has taken notice.

Hino has awarded Dana with its excellence in quality improvement award. The award goes to a Hino supplier that has improved its processes and its output. According to Dana, the company has greatly improved its parts-per-million (PPM) defect performance.

Dana supplies driveshafts to Hino from assembly facilities in Lima, Ohio, and Jodalli, Karnataka, India. The driveshafts are used on a wide range of Hino medium-duty trucks.

“This quality award from Hino validates our continuous, systematic approach to process improvement and the long-term value we deliver to manufacturers and vehicle buyers alike,” said Pat D’Eramo, president of Dana commercial vehicle driveline technologies.
