Date set for NATMI/KRTS driver trainer course

CALEDONIA, Ont. – KRTS has announced the date of the next North American Transportation Management Institute (NATMI) certified driver trainer course program.

The course will be held this September 10 and 11 at the KRTS facility in Caledonia, Ont.

The program will teach interested patrons essential skills for professional driver trainers and covers topics like the principals of learning, how to prepare performance objectives, instructional techniques and how to prepare lesson plans.

“Properly accredited instructional programs are a crucial component when delivered to new and existing commercial drivers,” said Kim Richardson, president of KRTS.

The course is open to anyone in the transportation industry who wants to become an instructor and costs $1150.

The program is two days long and runs from 8:30 a.m.  to 4:30 p.m. Lunch is provided.
