VANCOUVER, BC — The Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA) is warning there could be delays at Vancouver’s port this weekend.

"The union representing port security staff is planning information sessions at Ballantyne Pier and Canada Place beginning Friday morning, 16 July. The workers say Securiguard is taking over operations as of July 19," CIFFA noted in its daily newsletter to members today.

Union reps say any traffic coming in and out of the port might be affected.
