MONTREAL, Que. — DMG World Media announced that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire the Quebec City Cam-Expo Show from Roger Desrosiers, president of Pro-Expo 2000.

The event, scheduled to take place Nov. 5-7, 2004, complements Expocam 2003, which was an industry show produced by DMG World Media and which was held Oct. 23-25, 2003.

“We are very pleased to expand our commitment to the Canadian trucking industry,” said Paul Allingham, executive vice-president, DMG World Media. “The synergy such as shared sales and marketing databases for the Quebec market existing between our show, ExpoCam, and the Quebec City Cam-Expo Show is undeniable. So, too, are the benefits to both the industry and the suppliers alike.”

Both sides are confident the deal could close before the end of the year. Once the sale is complete, Desrosiers will continue his relationships within the industry as a consultant to DMG World Media to manage the 2004 and 2006 Cam-Expo shows.
