Dolyniuk’s Retiring; Shaw Will Take Reins in Manitoba

MTA’s General Manager Terry Shaw is assuming the Executive Director role.

WINNIPEG — After 17 years as Executive Director of the Manitoba Trucking Association (MTA) Bob Dolyniuk is retiring at the end of April.

The MTA’s General Manager Terry Shaw is assuming the E.D. role.

Winnipeg-born Shaw, 40, is starting his third year with the organization but spent his entire post-university days working in the trucking industry, starting with TransX in the compliance department.

Married with a five year old daughter and seven year old son, Shaw says the breadth of the MTA’s board of directors ensures that all sectors of trucking are represented and he’s looking forward to working with his staff and board members as the job of advocating for the trucking industry continues.

“We are strong and haven’t had this wide a base for about a decade,” he told Today’s Trucking after the MTA’s 2014 Annual General Meeting.  He estimated that upwards of 170 carriers are members but they represent about three-quarters of the freight carried in Manitoba.
