Driver etiquette is slipping, readers say

TORONTO, Ont. — There are some unspoken rules of the road, the common courtesy that makes every drive a little more bearable, but is that sense of etiquette declining?

Today’s Trucking readers who participated in this month’s Pulse Survey seem to believe so. Unsafe driving habits topped the list of pet peeves on the road. The top 3 things that most respondents wanted drivers to demonstrate more often included: avoid tailgating, avoid improper passing, and use turn signals properly.

In fact, 99% said that etiquette should be included in training for entry-level drivers.
