BARRIE, Ont. — Driver training provider DriveWise has been named a finalist of the Scotiabank Business Service Excellence Award.

The award will be presented by the Greater Barrie Chamber of Commerce and the City of Barrie during a gala ceremony on Nov. 11. DriveWise was launched five years ago as a local firm training novice drivers and regional municipalities using its state-of-the-art simulator.

The company now has over 40 partner centres across Canada, the US and overseas and offers “virtual reality driving simulation” training combined with classroom instruction to thousands of drivers, commercial fleets and municipalities each year.

“We are very excited by this recognition and thank our staff for their dedication to high quality performance and client satisfaction,” said Lesley de Pepentigny, president and CEO of DriveWise. “Service awards are a direct reflection on the team you assemble and the professionalism with which they approach their tasks. We thank every member of our team for their contribution in getting all of us where we are today.”
