Dual tires in the Crossfire
Dual Dynamics
Lincon, Neb.-based Dual Dynamics’ Crossfire, a pressure equalizing and monitoring valve mounted between dual tires, bolts easily to the lug or hub bolts and is designed to fit on either disc or spoke wheels.
Properly mounted, air freely flows from one tire to another, maintaining equal tire pressure and load distribution, as well as reducing “cupping” and increasing long even wear.
The Crossfire signals both over and under-inflation of the tire. The device also employs a safety feature that automatically isolates the “good” tire in the event of a blowout. The internal safety valve closes immediately with only a slight loss of pressure. In slow leak situations, the valve isolates both tires after a pressure drop of approximately 10 PSI.
