MARKHAM, Ont. — Durham Truck and Equipment held its second annual Customer Appreciation Golf Tournament in support of the OTA Education Foundation last week.

Proceeds from two 50/50 draws and a closest to the mannequin contest have been earmarked to support the foundation’s annual scholarship program. More than 100 golfers participated in the event, held at Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham, Ont.

Durham Truck and Equipment’s vice president, operations Emily Paterson says that support of the trucking industry’s education foundation “raises awareness of the industry and the possibilities it offers to the schools and the students who may one day find their futures in our industry.”

Donations are used to fund scholarships that are available exclusively to students whose parents work in the trucking industry. For more information, visit www.ontruck.org/educationfoundation.
