RANDOLPH, Ohio — Mark Holtz recently joined East Manufacturing as vice-president of sales and marketing. In his new position, Holtz will be responsible for all phases of direct- and dealer-based selling activities for East aluminum trailers, parts and aftermarket support; along with managing the marketing efforts of the company.

“Mark has a strong background in a wide variety of disciplines, and we are fortunate to have someone of his caliber join the East team,” said David Tate, president of East. “His experience and knowledge of the trucking industry will serve our customers well, consistent with the East goal of constantly providing new and innovative ways to help our customers enjoy more success in their business.”

Prior to joining East, Holtz spent 28 years with Alcoa. For the past five years he was manager of marketing and technology for the Alcoa Commercial Vehicle Wheel business group in Cleveland, Ohio.

Holtz spent eight years as technical manager for the Alcoa Wheel Products division and also held various positions in product engineering and technical development management for Alcoa’s forged products business.

Holtz was integrally involved in the opening of a new forging facility for Alcoa in Hungary, managing the transfer of forging, tooling, training and processes for that start up. His organization also provided similar support for a wheel making plant in Mexico and a wheel finishing plant in Japan.

Holtz earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Grove City College, a Juris Doctor degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University. He is a long-standing member of the Technology and Maintenance Council.
