KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation has announced that it has appointed a new business unit manager for its North America light- and medium-duty transmission business.

John Sczesny will oversee all business unit activities for the North American region, including Eaton’s Greenfield, Ind., plant operations.

“John’s knowledge of our North American customers and truck markets, and his sales experience will serve him well, as he works to grow the business with exciting new products, such as UltraShift HV transmissions and hybrid-electric power trains,” said Ken F. Davis, the president of Eaton’s light- and medium-duty transmission business.

Sczesny has been with Eaton for more than 26 years and most recently was director of field sales and marketing. During his time with Eaton, Sczesny has held positions in operations, business development and sales and marketing. Sczesny holds a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from Ohio State University.

Eaton’s Truck Group manufactures power train systems and components for commercial vehicles.
