INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Eaton Corporation has opened an Eaton Logistics Center in Indianapolis for its truck components business unit.

The new facility will provide a central location for the collection, warehousing and shipment of Eaton Fuller heavy-duty transmissions and aftermarket parts. It will also serve as a central receiving point for parts and components from Eaton’s suppliers, the company says.

“The most significant benefit to our truck industry customers is on the aftermarket side of our business,” says Jeff Romig, general manager of Eaton’s aftermarket division of the truck business unit. “Most of our transmission aftermarket products, including parts, kits and service units will now be consolidated, distributed and invoiced from one facility in a single shipment.”

The logistics center was opened in September, but it won’t be in full operation until March, 2003.
