Eaton names technology VP
CLEVELAND, (Feb. 9, 2005) — Eaton Corp. announced that Yannis P. Tsavalas has been elected vice-president and chief technology officer.
Tsavalas will lead the company’s Innovation Center and be responsible for driving engineering research and development synergies across Eaton’s businesses. He succeeds Craig A. Black, who was named vice-president of Electrical Components Operations.
Tsavalas will report to Randy W. Carson, senior vice-president and group executive – electrical, and will be located at Eaton’s world headquarters in Cleveland.
Tsavalas joins Eaton from General Electric, where he was chief technology officer for GE Lighting and general manager, Global Lighting Technology, GE Consumer and Industrial.
