Eaton trucks in new general manager

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Manufacturer Eaton Corporation has appointed Scott Adams as business unit manager for the Vehicle Solutions unit of its Truck Aftermarket Division.

In his new role, Adams will be responsible for overall leadership of the Vehicle Solutions Business Unit and the management of its product and service offerings, including Eatons Fleet Resource Manager suite of mobile resource management products and services, Mobile Diagnostic tools and solutions, and VORAD safety systems.

He will also manage the strategic alliance between Eaton and @Road, a provider of mobile resource management solutions, with whom Eaton co-markets its Fleet Resource Manager.

Adams began his career with Eaton as an engineering project manager in its Manufacturing Technologies Center. Since then, he has progressed through various leadership positions within Eaton including operations, product development and program management. In his most recent position, he served as manager, Business Development for the Light and Medium Duty Transmission Division.

Scotts breadth of business development, engineering and strategic planning background will be a key asset to our Vehicle Solutions business, and will help us meet our strategic growth objectives, said John Coll, general manager for Eatons Truck Aftermarket and Vehicle Solutions Division.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, a Master of Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
