Edmonton dealer expands network on its birthday

EDMONTON — In October, First Truck Centre Edmonton added the Vancouver Freightliner dealership to its network.

First Truck Centre celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2008 and has grown from its initial beginnings in Lloydminster, Alta. to now include four branches, including two in Edmonton.

First Truck Centre Vancouver operates out of a 68,000 sq ft facility on an 11-acre property and offers a complete line of services, including a body shop with a heavy-duty frame straightener and 60-foot, down draft paintbooth.

The Vancouver dealership’s staff of 129 uses these facilities to provide seven-day a week support to its Freightliner Trucks, Thomas Built Buses, American LaFrance Emergency Vehicles and E-One Emergency Vehicles product lines.

A Vancouver Freightliner dealership has joined the
Alberta-based First Truck Centre network.

First Truck Centre plans to integrate the new Vancouver dealership with a commitment to customer service, which earned First Truck Centre the coveted Freightliner Aspire Award as one of the top 10 dealerships in North America in 2004 and 2005-2006.

“The desire of the team in Vancouver to be the premier heavy-duty truck dealership in the Lower Mainland makes it a natural fit with our culture and the synergistic potential is exciting,” says Patrick Ozirny, president of First Truck Centre.
