COLUMBUS, OH. — Say what you will about our hockey teams dropping like flies, at least our dealerships consistently make the finals.

Edmonton Kenworth received the 2011 Kenworth Dealer of the Year Award for the U.S. and Canada at the annual Kenworth dealer meeting in Columbus, Ohio.

Edmonton Kenworth is a major supplier of trucks, parts and service to the oilfield, logging, and highway markets in the Edmonton region and northern Alberta.

This is the third Dealer of the Year award the dealership has taken home. Plus, they’ve netted eight Gold Awards and a Kenworth Customer Support Dealer of the Year award in the past 11 years. And the dealer’s leasing operation (PacLease Edmonton Kenworth) received the PacLease North American Franchise of the Year award in both 2009 and 2011.

“Edmonton Kenworth had an outstanding performance during 2011,” says Gary Moore, Kenworth general manager and Paccar vice president. “Edmonton Kenworth sold and leased a very significant number of Kenworth trucks, achieved strong market share in both heavy and medium duty truck sales, operated excellent facilities and provided exceptional customer support.”

Edmonton Kenworth was picked from six other Gold Award winners for 2011:

  • GreatWest Kenworth (Calgary, Alberta),
  • Kenworth of South Louisiana (Gray, LA.),
  • MHC Kenworth – Colorado (Denver),
  • MHC Kenworth – Oklahoma (Oklahoma City), and
  • Wallwork Kenworth (Fargo, ND).
