EDMONTON, Alta. — Edmonton Kenworth has been named Kenworth Dealer of the Year for the US and Canada.

The award was presented at Kenworth’s recent annual dealer meeting in Columbus, Ohio.

“It’s a great privilege and honour for Edmonton Kenworth and our many dedicated employees to be recognized with the 2011 Kenworth Dealer of the Year award,” said Gary King, president of Edmonton Kenworth. “There are many outstanding Kenworth dealers, so this award is certainly a very special achievement. We especially thank our many customers for their business.”

“Edmonton Kenworth had an outstanding performance during 2011,” said Gary Moore, Kenworth general manager and Paccar vice-president. “Edmonton Kenworth sold and leased a very significant number of Kenworth trucks, achieved strong market share in both heavy- and medium-duty truck sales, operated excellent facilities, and provided exceptional customer support.”

Edmonton Kenworth was selected from among six Gold Award winners for 2011. GreatWest Kenworth of Calgary, Alta. was among the finalists. Kenworth also doled out 14 Silver Awards, which included Custom Truck Sales, Kenworth Maska and Kenworth Quebec from Canada.

Edmonton Kenworth has been named Dealer of the Year three times, while also winning eight Gold Awards and a Kenworth Customer Support Dealer of the Year award – all in the past 11 years.
