Fergus Show ain’t fiddlin’ around

FERGUS, Ont.– One of the biggest names in Canadian C&W music and the pride of Grande Prairie will be headlining the Fergus Truck Show this year.

The Alberta-born band is Emerson Drive. (A few years back, their song “Moments” topped the U.S. country charts, a first for a Canadian band.)

Emerson Drive will be taking the stage Saturday July 24, at 10:00 p.m., and followed by another Fergus favorite, “Moonshine,” who’ll rock truck-show goers into the wee hours. (Actually they’ll shut down at 1:00 a.m.)

The truck show itself runs from Friday July 22 through to Sunday, July 24; and Emerson Drive and Moonshine are two of six bands scheduled to perform.

And since it’s a truck show, there’ll also be lots of shined-up trucks competing for big prizes.

And there’ll be tractor pulls. And a demolition derby. And camping. And food.

This will be the 26th annual Fergus show, which remains one of the biggest truck shows in North America, even though organizers changed the venue and downsized the site considerably last year.
