FERIC to host transportation conferences

GRANDE PRAIRIE, Alta. — The Forest Engineering Research Institute of Canada (FERIC) is hosting two transportation seminars in Western Canada next week.

On Nov. 25 in Grande Prairie, and then Nov. 27 in Kamloops, FERIC will be holding one-day seminars exploring trends and issues affecting transportation companies in the forestry sector.

Some of the topics up for discussion include: log truck fuel consumption; configuration selection; and improving operations. Each of those topics will include several sub-topics ranging from case studies to how new technology can help improve efficiencies.
