TORONTO, Ont. — Two tractor-trailers were blown onto their sides during fierce winds in the Greater Toronto Area yesterday.

In one frightening incident, an empty tractor-trailer was flipped over on the Burlington Skyway, according to a report in the Toronto Star. Lanes in both directions were closed on the Skyway bridge from 10 a.m. til 6 p.m., according to reports. Fortunately, the driver was uninjured.

Meanwhile on the northbound 400, another tractor-trailer was tossed by the winds. Once the vehicle was back on its wheels, a loaded tractor-trailer drove alongside it to prevent the winds from once again flipping it over, according to the Star.
