MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Cancom Tracking, Forbes Hewlett, and Turnpike Global Technologies, have entered into a contract to automate fuel tax reporting for their entire fleet of 110 power units.

“We are constantly researching methods of removing inefficiencies from our operation. When we were presented with TurnpikeDirect and the seamless integration of the product into our existing communications infrastructure we were excited,” said George Stott, president Forbes Hewlett Transport.

“TurnpikeDirect has reduced the number of our internal errors by 90 per cent. The system has allowed us to operate a paperless fuel and mileage reporting system that can be accessed from anywhere at anytime,” said Tina Stott, director of licensing and permitting for Forbes Hewlett Transport.

Stott said TurnpikeDirect has enabled them to remove another administrative burden from their drivers, allowing them to concentrate on what they do best – drive.

TurnpikeDirect complements both the driver and the carrier by providing an inexpensive method of collecting accurate fuel and mileage – ultimately leading to a paperless fuel and mileage solution, said Mike Ham, vice-president of Cancom Tracking.
