BRAMPTON, Ont. — Freight Forwarders are warning of another CN BIT container backlog following the long weekend.

The advisory was issued this morning in a Canadian International Freight Forwarders bulletin.

“Combination of train derailment and long weekend will cause backlog at BIT,” warned the bulletin.
“As reported earlier this week, there was a train derailment near Burton, Ont. that has caused some transit delays in CN’s system. Though the effects were cleared by Tuesday night, the delayed containers are now arriving in Toronto, just in time for the long weekend! This bodes ill for BIT and it is feared that a major backlog is in the making comes next Tuesday, August 2.”
