Freight charge collection seminar Sept. 10

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Truckload Carriers Association is hosting an audio conference Sept. 10: “Freight charges: How to collect them and how to keep them.”

The conference will feature Kenneth E. Siegel and Billy Leonard, attorneys, Strasburger & Price LLP, Washington D.C.; Kevin Burch, president, Jet Express Inc. Dayton, Ohio; Mike Patrick, traffic manager, Jet Express, and Lela Stokes, credit manager, O&S Trucking, Springfield, Mo.

The panel will discuss how to collect and keep freight charges, as well as current U.S. federal regulations on billing, DOT notice requirements, shipper penalties for late payment, the 180-day rule and the statue of limitations.

The audio conference is ideal for credit managers, accounts receivable managers, revenue managers, in-house counsels and sales and marketing managers.
