Freightliner debuts new branding campaign

PORTLAND, Ore. — Freightliner has launched a new branding campaign tagline – Run Smart – designed to reflect the company’s commitment to customer efficiency, productivity and profitability.

The Run Smart tagline is being incorporated into the company’s external communications and logo usages.

“The new branding campaign and tagline were developed on the premise that Freightliner Trucks delivers a wealth of efficient business solutions that help our customers run more productively and more profitably,” said Mark Lampert, senior vice-president, sales and marketing with Freightliner. “This is a strong, long-term marketing effort designed to promote the Freightliner Trucks brand and company philosophy, while reinforcing our leadership position in the trucking industry today.”

Lampert added while each of Freightliner’s customers may have different needs, they have common goals including the desire to be successful and profitable.

“They need to and want to Run Smart, and we want them to know they can do that in a Freightliner,” he said.

A new ad campaign reflecting the new tagline will be launched Nov. 15 and into 2005.
