PORTLAND, Ore. — Freightliner has launched a new Web site to promote the use of genuine parts.

The site, http://www.keepitafreightliner.com/, provides visitors with information on Freightliner’s support network and explains the benefits of using Freightliner parts.

“It’s an accepted principle in the trucking business that using genuine parts ensures better value for the truck owner,” said Todd Hooper, director of parts and service marketing for Daimler Trucks North America. “But selecting genuine parts also means knowing that your vehicle is maintained with parts made of the highest quality materials, engineered for the best possible durability and performance, and designed to perfectly fit your truck.”

The company points out using genuine parts maintains high resale value for owners and keeps the truck running at peak performance from owner to owner.

Freightliner is also providing owner/operator customers who purchase a used truck through the company’s SelecTrucks network with a Freightliner Owner Experience Kit that also emphasizes the benefits of using genuine replacement parts.
