PORTLAND, Ore. — Melissa Kellogg has been named by Freightliner as the new director of product marketing for Freightliner Trucks, effective June 18.

She replaces Jonathan Randall, who transferred to Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation.

In her new role, Kellogg will assume responsibility for creating and implementing programs and promotions to increase sales, profits and market share. Additionally, she will establish and execute clear strategies to enhance brand position, identity and appeal to key customers in target segments.

Kellogg, who joined Freightliner in 1998, most recently served as the manager of Market Planning and Analysis. Prior positions include manager of Market Research and Market Planning analyst.

“Melissa’s leadership skills and market research expertise make her a natural fit for this position,” said Michael Delaney, senior vice-president of marketing for Freightliner. “Melissa’s background will help us strengthen the brand and ensure the continued success of Freightliner Trucks.”

Kellogg has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Oregon State University and an MBA from the University of Portland.
