AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. — Freightliner Trucks has announced its 2008 ASPIRE Award Winners, which includes a handful of Canadian dealers.

The ASPIRE (Acknowledging Sales, Parts & service, Image and Relationship Excellence) program recognizes the powerful vision,
dedication and persistence of Freightliner dealers "who push the boundaries of success in sales, service and customer support."

Canadians fared well in the "Summit Award" category. They include:

First Truck Centre, Edmonton, AB; Valley Equipment Limited; Hartland, NB; Freightliner Manitoba Ltd.; Winnipeg, MB; and Boyer Truck Sales; Thunder Bay, ON.

Services De Mecanique Mobile B.L., of Granby, QC, was the lone Canadian dealer among the "Alpine Award" list.

"Our ASPIRE winners are the best of the best in setting new standards for sales, service and customer support," said Jack Conlan, senior vice president, Customer Support. "Their achievements create satisfied customers and stronger dealer networks."

Freightliner-Western Star of Evansville, Ind., received the top prize — the prestigious ASPIRE 2008 Dealer of the Year Award.
