NASHVILLE, Ind. — Is the worst of the recession behind us? According to industry forecaster FTR Associates, recent data suggests that it is.

In a recent report to subscribers, FTR Associates declared “recent data suggests that the worst of the recession is over.”

The forecaster warned, however, that the road to recovery will likely be difficult. It’s expecting the US economy to stabilize in the third quarter, followed by a moderate recovery in 2010 with GDP predicted to grow 2.7%.

Despite the improving economic conditions, FTR Associates warned commercial vehicle suppliers that “difficult conditions will persist for some time.” The company’s full report will be available to subscribers today. For more info, call 888-988-1699, ext. 41.
