Gives Dead Batteries a Pulse

RediPulse, a new battery charge/maintenance system from Dallas, Tex.-based PulseTech Products, prevents dead batteries by keeping them in “like-new” condition all the time, the company says.

By introducing a slight trickle charge, RediPulse also prevents the normal loss of battery power on stored vehicles no matter how long they sit unused, the company says. RediPulse works with all conventional flooded lead-acid batteries and sealed “maintenance-free” batteries, including VRLA, AGM, and gel cell. It is also designed to prevent sulphation buildup on the battery plates-said to be the number one cause of battery failure. Using the company’s patented ReNew-IT pulse technology, RediPulse emits a pulsating DC current into the battery that enables the sulphate deposits to leave the plates and converts them to active electrolyte.
