AKRON, Oh. — Goodyear has tapped Dan Martin as its new general manager of original equipment and strategic accounts for its commercial tire division.

Martin will work with OEMs and large fleets to develop tire programs offering new and retreaded Goodyear tires for over-the-road applications.

It’s a new position that’s being created to take advantage of growth opportunities within each segment, says Ted Fick, vice-president of Goodyear’s commercial tire division.

Martin joined Goodyear a year ago as general manager, commercial tires west. Prior to that, he worked for Kenworth as director of sales.
