Got a Favorite Trucking Loo? Share It for Annual Contest

MISSISSAUGA, ON —  Have you ever walked into a public restroom, especially at a truckstop or any other place that caters to trucking, that impressed you so much you had you to take a photo?

One that was so memorable you walked out and immediately told a friend “You will not believe what that washroom looks like!”

We must confess, at Today’s Trucking, some of us have been guilty of this, though we aren’t saying who. But why keep such discoveries a trucking industry secret?

Its time to let the whole world know, or at least Canada, that trucking has some great, clean water closets and a contest has arrived for just such a purpose.

The restroom supply company Cintas Canada is on the hunt to find these washrooms, launching its 6th Annual Canada’s Best Restroom Contest.

Through July 31st nominations can be submitted through the contest website.

“Each year we receive many nominations from across the country, which we sift through to find Canada’s Best. We’ve had finalists in all types of venues from restaurants and hotels, to a car dealership, a gas station, and even a zoo,” said Leslie Molin, Cintas Canada’s senior marketing manager. “The reason we sponsor this contest is to remind businesses that a clean, well-stocked restroom directly impacts their ability to attract and retain customers. That’s why the judging is left up to the general public to vote for the winner.”

According to Cintas, such restroom entries may be themed, have a unique architectural design, new technological advancements, or even one-of-a-kind decor. If it stands out to you, then they want to know about it.

Five finalists will be announced in the summer, based on cleanliness, visual appeal, innovation, functionality and unique design elements.

The winner will receive the royal restroom treatment from Cintas with $2500 in facility services to help maintain their award-winning washroom.
