SAVANNAH, Ga. — Great Dane Trailers has reorganized its management structure as “part of an ongoing process aimed at enhancing Great Dane’s leadership, its business fundamentals and accelerating future growth,” according to the company.

“Great Dane has a strong leadership team clearly focused on delivering superior value to our customers through the solid operation and strategic growth of the company,” said Bill Crown, president and CEO of Great Dane Trailers. “I’m pleased today to confirm the transition of responsibilities from retiring Great Dane president, Phill Pines, and to announce a new organizational structure that capitalizes on the strengths of the team, and reflects the continued growth and evolution of the company.”

The following organizational changes are effective immediately:

-Jim Pines, executive vice-president of sales and operations, will continue to oversee all sales activities, including factory-direct sales, retail sales, aftermarket parts and service and used trailers, as well as Great Dane’s manufacturing operations. Pines will report directly to Crown.

-Rick Mullininx, a 28-year Great Dane veteran, has been promoted to the position of executive vice-president of engineering. In this expanded role, Mullininx will report directly to Crown and oversee Great Dane’s entire engineering and product development organization.

-Dean Engelage joins the Great Dane team as executive vice-president of strategic planning and administration, after spending more than 15 years with CC Industries, Great Dane’s parent company. Engelage’s responsibilities will include directing business development, marketing, management information systems, human resources, and Johnson Refrigerated Truck Bodies. He will report directly to Crown.

-Jim Petrarca, Great Dane’s chief financial officer, will continue to oversee all of the company’s finance and accounting activities and will report directly to Crown.

These four senior executives, together with Sam Gupta, senior vice-president of manufacturing, and Crown will comprise an executive committee responsible to the board for all operations and planning at Great Dane Trailers.
